BABY CARRIER ON Pittoresk

日本最古の抱っこひもメーカー「ラッキー工業株式会社」の抱っこひも「BABY CARRIER ON Pittoresk」の商品デザインを担当しました。

赤ちゃんを腕で抱きかかえるような安心感を目指し、構造や形状をゼロから設計。ショルダーパーツやバックルの配置を繰り返し検証し、身体へのフィット感と荷重分散、装着のしやすさを両立しました。

さらに、福井県の八田経編と共同で抱っこひも専用のダブルラッセル生地を開発。糸の選定から組織、厚み、硬さまでを見直し、高いクッション性・通気性・耐久性を備えた素材を実現しています。

構造、素材、ディテールまで一貫してデザインすることで、機能性と日々の暮らしに自然に馴染む佇まいを兼ね備えた、快適な育児を支えるプロダクトを目指しました。

BABY CARRIER ON Pittoresk

I designed the BABY CARRIER ON Pittoresk baby carrier for Lucky Industry Co., Ltd., Japan’s oldest baby carrier manufacturer.

The design was developed to recreate the reassuring feeling of holding a baby in one’s arms. Through extensive prototyping, the geometry of the shoulder straps, buckle positions, and overall structure was refined to achieve an optimal balance of comfort, secure support, natural weight distribution, and ease of use.

In collaboration with Hatta Warp Knitting in Fukui, we also developed a custom double raschel fabric specifically for this product. From yarn selection and knit structure to thickness and stiffness, every aspect of the material was carefully engineered to provide superior cushioning, breathability, and long-term durability.

By integrating material development, structural design, and refined detailing, the project delivers a baby carrier that combines high functionality with a calm, contemporary aesthetic, creating a more comfortable and intuitive experience for both babies and caregivers.
